For those with very specific career goals, the dual degree may present benefits that a single MBA degree may not. These include being able to assume leadership roles in nontraditional MBA careers, increased job options due to specializing in two fields instead of one, and greater leverage when negotiating for salary and promotions. Students who want to pair the MBA with another degree have more options than ever before -- and post-graduate jobs to boot. Consulting firms, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations all hire dual-degree recipients. <itunes:subtitle>What To Do When Your Score Disappoints</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>In a 2008 Kaplan survey of 250 MBA admissions officers, 55% said that the GMAT is the most important factor on the business school application. Over 90% said it&apos;s one of the top 2 most important factors. Research shows that every 10 point increase in your GMAT score correlates to another $5K in your starting salary after business school. Why? Higher scores help you to gain admission into more competitive, higher-ranked MBA programs, which in turn brings more job opportunities and higher salaries. Prepping for the GMAT can have a big payoff. That&apos;s great if you did well on the GMAT. But how should you respond to a GMAT score that&apos;s lower than you want or need to get into the program of your choice?</itunes:summary>

<itunes:subtitle>Hear From Top International Schools as to Why You Should Consider Going Global</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>International exposure is becoming an important calling card in this highly competitive economic climate. Since the name of the game is to set yourself apart, whether you&apos;re applying to MBA programs or hitting the job market, global experience divides you from the pack. Other reasons are time and cost. European schools typically offer an alternative MBA. program that is shorter than those in the U.S. Less time in school means less tuition to pay, though it does put you back out on a tough job market sooner. On today&apos;s show, The MBA Tour&apos;s International Schools stop in San Francisco. MBA Podcaster&apos;s Catherine Girardeau sat in on the event at San Francisco&apos;s Hyatt Regency. Representatives from eight business schools from Europe, Latin America and Asia were on hand for informal, roundtable discussions with about a hundred prospective applicants.</itunes:summary>

		    <title>Part-time vs. Full-time MBA</title>
		    <itunes:author>MBA Podcaster</itunes:author>
<itunes:subtitle>Which One is Right for You?</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>When considering the pursuit of an MBA, one of the first options you&apos;re likely weighing is going back full-time versus part-time. Historically it has been deemed that for graduate students in business, the decision to attend school full-time vs. part-time largely depends on whether you want to continue on a pre-established career path or alternatively change careers or industries. However with the recent recession and unemployment trends, more prospective MBA candidates are trying to maintain their current jobs, pursue a part-time MBA and in some cases use their new network of schoolmates, or career placement offices on campus, to parlay into a new career. Today, only 20% of business school students are enrolled in a full-time, two-year program. Part-time, evening and weekend programs account for half of current students and the rest are enrolled in executive, distance-learning and other smaller programs.</itunes:summary>
